International Symposium on
"Multifunctional Organic Materials and Devices"
-- from organic nano-structural materials to complex molecules in physics,
chemistry and biology --
Narashino Campus
Toho University, Funabashi, Chiba 274-8510, Japan
December 11-12, 2009
Scope:
Materials with novel integrated properties stimulate the recent development of the electronic, photonic and spintronic devices and have
been attracting growing attention. This symposium focuses on recent hot
topics of such organic materials and devices in physics, chemistry and
biochemistry. A wide range of compounds from small conjugated/aromatic
molecules and metal complexes to nano- and mesoscopic materials will be
covered.
Topics of the symposium include:
-
Electronic transport and magnetic properties of zero-gap organic conductors
-
Novel optical, magnetic properties of organic compounds
-
Quantum transport and phase transitions in low-dimensional organic nano-structures
-
Advanced organic molecular devices
-
Spin crossover phenomena
- Supramolecules
- Photoresponsive materials for cell and molecular biology
- Novel techniques for nano-material and molecular design
Participation fee: Free
Registration: Participants are kindly requested to make registration through the symposium web-site.
This symposium is supported by Toho University and by the High-Tech Research
Center Program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science and
Technology, Japan.
